Illustrator Vs Photoshop

Whats the basic difference between Illustrator and Photoshop?
Both comes from adobe family and uses similar tools..Requires space almost same..Then whats the difference?

Nice to know your thoughts, But before we can compare Photoshop vs Illustrator, we must understand the difference between raster and vector graphics. I'm sure you may have heard these terms before, but do you know what they mean?

I think iiiustrator is more approprite for the typographic design or the 3d design and photoshop has more advantage to picture design. Therefore, I can just say they have their own strength.

Both have their usage and are great in work .Photoshop is Goo in graphic design ,pictures and a best tool in starting with graphic design . Photoshop is bitmap image processing and manipulating tool.Illustrator generates "vector objects" which are not part of a "bitmap" .

I think Illustrator is for creating vector artwork, like logos, or precise drawings, or graphs, charts and things of that nature. Photoshop is for manipulating photos, some use it for abstract art and useful for web designing also.
